As COVID-19 Cases Shoots, Orders Proclaim to Lift Complete Lockdown from Gyms. Yet Says No for Reopening of Movie Theatres and Metros 

According to reports, there are 1.58 million coronavirus cases in India. But, with the shrink of economic and crumbling business structure in the nation. The country is pacing up and down to uplift its economic foreground once again. Starting from implementing unlock India phases, that will smoothen the rocky surface by running businesses. Unlock India 3 is getting implemented from August 1. 

As stated in the latest news, the government has issued certain unlock guidelines for phase 3. This includes opening up gyms and yoga centers. But, others have not yet to get revoked. Keeping note of the rising number for COVID-19 cases in the nation, India is prepared for a minimal number of rises after foreseeing three major festivities which the month includes. According to the news, it is stated that while the ongoing phase of unlocking India is getting witnessed. Certain things have come-up to note. An analysis includes: 

  • Lockdown measures become relaxed, and business resume operations. This resulted in an ease of public fear and a further increase in people’s movement. 
  • As stated in the analysis, the number of new cases will see the decline and there will be positive feedback. These are the two vital posts that were stated in the advantage. 
  • Contrary to the above-mentioned points, certain points are drawing attention to the rising COVID-19 cases. Unlock India Phase 3: What does it Allow? 

After unlocking phase 1 and 2, India is all prepared to unlock itself for phase 3. 

According to the latest news, gymnasium and yoga centers will open from August 5. Additionally, the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW) has issued certain guidelines for better safety of people and without hampering business. 

  • Gyms and yoga centers will open up.
  • Night curfew will get lifted.
  • Shops and commercial complexes will remain open till late at night. 
  • Independence day functions can be held with social distancing.
  • The international air-travel of passengers has been permitted with limited numbers under ‘Vande Mataram Mission’.  

But, What is still under lock? 

As per the rising coronavirus cases, places like movie theatres, metro, swimming pools, entertainment parks, bars, auditoriums, assembly halls, similar places will remain shut.  

According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW), “Social/Politics/Sports/Entertainment/Academics/Cultural/Religious functions and other large functions will not be allowed.” 

Moreover, as unlock India is setting up for phase 3, there shall not be any restrictions for inter and intrastate movement of persons and goods. Contrary to the earlier situation, this time there will be no need to apply for e-pass or travel permits for local and inter-state movement. 

According to sources, it is learned that schools, colleges, and coaching institutes will remain closed till August 31 or till further orders.  

Unlock India Phase 3: What for Containment Zones?

  • Lockdown in the containment zone will remain enforced until August 31. 
  • The only movement for daily needs for essential will be allowed in containment zones. Other than this, every social function will remain suspended. 
  • These areas should be strictly monitored by the administration. States and Union Territories can impose their own set of guidelines.
