According to the latest news, it is learned through Twitter that one of the Amazon employees who deliver orders throughout the day quits his job at gas stations and tweets. Yes, one can find this strange but a person who caters with Amazon orders is seen tirelessly working for 13 hours. Without any acquaintance by the company, the man tweets, “Mentally, my health--- I just couldn’t keep on working 13 hours a day for that company.”- Derick Lancaster tweets.
According to the latest news in Hindi Lancaster said, ‘He ditched his delivery van full of amazon orders at a gas station and quit his job because he was fed by his company and position. The incident took quick momentum over Twitter as Lancaster tweets and sooner the incident became viral.
As the Amazon employee quit, the soon to be Amazon spokesperson took over to the media and clarified that “This does not reflect the high standards we have for delivery partners. We are taking up the incident very seriously and appropriate action will be soon taken.”
As Derick tweeted, his tweet was widely shared after he wrote about his digital quitting plan. According to the latest news, 22-year-old-driver Derick Lancaster left the keys in the ignition station, called on a cab, and went home. He also shared a few screenshots and images along with his tweet.
Lancaster later commented to the local news feed of Southfield Road where the incident took place. He said that he was frustrated with long working hours, pay, and a large number of deliveries every single day. Lancaster said, “I’m not encouraging them to but if you are fed up you become fed up”. He further adds, “It was immature and irresponsible on my end. At the same time, enough is enough.”
Sooner as the news geared up among the people, it grabbed 25,000 shares and 218,000 likes. Being now an Amazon ex-employee, Lancaster said, “I would nearly work for 12 hours in a day to deliver more than 100 packages for $15.50/hour”. Now as he is much relieved from his tiring work schedule, many of the other Twitter users defamed his move of leaving the van at the gas station.
According to the latest news, one of the tweets said, “I can’t imagine how selfish someone has to be to abandon a van full of other people’s Amazon orders. This is not OK.”
According to the sources, many of the Amazon employees paid gratitude toward the bold step which Lancaster took over to quit. Lancaster said, “some people were saying they wish they dared to quit their job, but due to financial reasons they aren't.” He further adds, “some were saying they also quit after they saw the tweet and the video of Lancaster over Twitter.”
According to the latest news, Amazon delivery jobs at the company’s Hazel Park, Michigan wage up to $15 per hour and employees can expect to work 10-hours shift for five days a week.
