TRAI Releases New Channel Selector App for Quick Modification and Easy Selection in the Plan
Yes, with the advancement of digital media nowadays. Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has launched a new channel selector app that will help all the TV subscribers to add new channels in their plan by easy removal of unwanted channels. According to the latest news by TRAI, it will be issuing new tariff orders for the broadcasting TV channels. Further, the news update also added that as the forum has noticed that the consumer regularly faces issues related to TV channels packs, customized packages according to their likes and needs. Or the applications that are sent to various Distribution Platform Operators (DPO) are left unanswered.
So, as per the latest information by the governing authority, an app has been created to fetch data from DPOs.
Further according to the latest news in Hindi, the app is presently available on iOS and Google Play Store. The latter also houses four of the leading distribution operators from the country i.e. Tata Sky, Airtel TV, d2h, and DishTV. Additionally, as per the news update by the board, they also confirmed that this also includes four MSOs (Multiple System Operators), Hathway, SITI network, In Digital and not to forget Asianet.
TRAI claims that this all together when compiled gives 50% of the subscription services.
According to the reliable latest information, it is learned that twelve of the other MSO will soon be joining the team for the new channel selector app. Earlier, the launch of the new channel selector app was scheduled for April.
