CBSE | ICSE Board Exams for Class 10 &12 stands cancelled, Results will be Declared by Mid July



According to the latest news, the final results of CBSE and ICSE boards will be out by mid-July. Amidst growing numbers of Corona cases in the nation. The Supreme Court has canceled the remaining board exams keeping in mind the safety of the students.

Yes, you read it right. According to the latest news from the HRD ministry, the final examination by CBSE board for class 10 & 12 stands canceled. The passing criteria will be scrutinized by the grading system. Earlier also, the CBSE board had held a meeting with the HRD ministry and other academic experts for the consideration. As per the latest news in India, it was also learned that as many as 18,89, 879 for class 10 and 12,07, 895 from class 12 are all set to appear for the CBSE board exam across the country.  

By taking a brief from the information update, the decision was set to get released by 11 am by the Supreme Court. But, later got postponed to 2 pm. The country has finally got the final verdict from the Supreme Court that was specially held taking into account the safety of students sitting for the exam in this Corona era. 

Furthermore, as the latest news got out from the epic body of the nation. The amendment in the assessment policy got into consideration. But, later it was also discussed by the official that soon a new assessment policy will be presented to the Supreme Court for further negotiation. According to the new assumed assessment policy, the CBSE board examination score will be taken into account by implementing a grading system in the process. 

Students who had appeared for the exam for CBSE class 10, will be assessed according to the marks received from internal tests, pre-board exams, and final projects. 

According to the latest news of the exam escaping due to pandemic, SG Mehta informed the press that the board has filed an affidavit. That was a complete compilation of the report that was submitted by the various states. Earlier also, the board had decided to cancel the final examinations of class 10 and 12 due to the rising number of Corona cases in the nation. According to the latest news in India, SG Mehta who discussed the issues in the court said, “Our Affidavit filed half an hour back states that taking into account suggestions from the states, exams from class 10 and 12 from July 1 stands canceled.”  

As per the further information update by the court, it was stated that “CBSE has a scheme in which marks scored in the past 3 exams will be taken into consideration. For class 12 appearing students, the exams will again be held once the situation becomes under control. Marks of the students who opted for class 12 examination will have the marks as final.” 

According to the latest news in India, it is purely the discretion of the class 12 students whether they want to opt for the second round of final exams. Or want to accept the internal marking of the tests and pre-boards. 

In the similarity of the case, the ICSE board will also follow the footprints of the CBSE board. According to the latest news in India, SC Tushar Mehta supported CBSE and HRD ministry and presented the case in front of the Supreme Court.  

Further as per the latest news in India, few of the papers were due to take place when the lockdown happened for Covid-19, and as sour aftermath, the exams March 19 to March 31 got postponed to later dates in April. Following strict lockdown across the nation, the HRD ministry further delayed the schedule for July 1 and July 15. 

After the judgment came out, parents were seen relieved for their children who got spiraled in the situation as the consequences. Reportedly as per the latest news in India, many parents have suggested that the board should consider the internal marking as a passing criteria rather than letting their children get exposed to the deadly virus.
